Heater and A/C works intermittently. Blower Motor?

My heater and A/C only works occasionally. At first when I would start up my truck the heater would start up after a few minutes of driving. It has been getting worse and now it only kicks on when I drive on the freeway for awhile, and sometimes it won't kick on even then. I'm thinking my blower motor is shot, what do you guys think? The heat and the A/C both work if the fan turns on, but most of the time the fan just doesn't blow anything through the vents. Thank you in advance for any help!

Burned up ignition switches are a common cause for this problem. use a test light to check for power to the blower motor with the key in the run position when the fan isn't working. If you have no power, remove the steering column covers and check the ignition switch wiring for a melted plug/connector.

Thanks for your replies, I took off the steering column covers and there were alot of wires and I wasn't sure what to look for. Can anyone post pictures or give me a more detailed account of what I should be looking for?

So I tried replacing the blower motor resistor with a coworker's who has the same truck and that didn't work. So it's not that. Then I tried kicking the blower motor and jiggling it around and voila! The fan came right on! So I'm pretty sure I just need a new blower motor. Do you guys agree?
