Best replacement tire for stock 20" rims?

Looking to replace the tires on my 07 Sport 4x4 with 20" chrome clads and 275/60/20 tires. Any opinions on the best aggressive all terrain tire to go with? How about bigger tires on the stock rims without rubbing?
Thanks

I am running Goodyear DuraTrac 285/60r20's and there a nice all terrain tire.I have aftermarket rims but they fit with the stock wheels.

The Duratracs look awesome but sure are pricey!

Probably because there are only a few rims in that size range. I had cooper zeon ltz tires but the 305/55 rubbed the sway bar whenever I was parking or on a tight turn hauling my trailer. I have been happy with the duratrac they are good in mud and soft dirt and pretty quiet for an aggressive tire. They last pretty long from what I hear and being 10 ply I would imagine they are pretty tough.

The GY DuraTrac is certainly a nice looking tire with an aggressive appearance.

However, I keep reading how they have poor longevity and horrible highway speed noise.

Are they considered an all-terrain or off-road tire?

All terrain as far as the way mine were listed. Actually thre only a little louder than my old zeons. With the Windows up AMD radio on I.don't even hear them. They ate louder than the stick car tires but a lot quieter than my friends trail grappler mt's.

How did you like the Cooper Zeon LTZ's?

newfiebullet 10-22-2012 07:21 PM

my cooper ltz's were a great tire, really sticky ,awesome grip, good all year round but wore so fast, if i pushed it i could have got 25000kms out of em..@ 17000 i didnt feel comfortable running them another winter.i rotated every 5k and kept the pressure checked..my pro comps now are loud on the highway sounds like an atv tire lol , not like a bogger but you can damn sure hear em, but im striaght piped so i that takes care of it on the hills anyway lol

Nitto Terra's are not that bad and pretty inexpensive
Or even Nitto Trail

I liked the zeons a lot. I wish they made more sizes. u almost bought terra grapplers but they didn't have them in stock the day I went. I would have got the trail grapplers but I was worried about them rubbing the swaybar when I still had stick wheels since the 295 was smaller than the 305 cooper but the tread was more aggressive that's why I ended up with the duratrac's. they weren't cheap.
