What radio is a plug and play in a 2003 1500?

Greetings :wavey: It seems as though the radio in my 2003 1500 has died. Everything is good, but the radio won't work. When I went to ebay I saw different radios. Some were cd. Some were cd, and cassette. Some were cd, that a person could put 6 disks into. Are all these plug and play or do different ones have different wiring. I do have a good am/fm/cd that I took out of my 2006 Dodge Magnum R/T, might have to give that one a look also. Thanks.

Nope. Doesn't look like the Magnum radio will work. Oh well, it was worth a try.

What radio do you have in your truck? the tape/cd one. That is what is in my 03. I hate that I can't play my ipod through it except with a tape adapter

I put a Dual Cd player in both of my Rams. You need to buy the stereo, and an installation kit and a wire harness adapter kit. I switched to a single DIN head unit hence the installation kit. With the harness adapter kit, you wire your new stereo harness to the adapter and then you just plug into your stock harness, no wire cutting needed. With both kits it took me about a half hour to install the new unit complete. BTW- the Dual unit I bought has CD, USB and an AUX port so you can play from a thumb drive or your i-phone.
I got everything from e-bay, just put in stereo installation kits in the search window. There are tons of head units you could use.

If I were home I could sell you a single CD head unit in great shape. Can you wait a month lol?
