Projector Headlights
Hey All -

I have been looking around at custom built and painted headlights with projectors and Halos, LED, CFL, etc. I have Recon Tails (and love them), what does everyone think of these types? Are they even worth bothering? The Recons are rather pricey at 620-650$.

Don't get em! If you like thr try spyder, your best bet is retro shop though. Those ones are halogen projectors, the ccfl will burn out soon and you won't get the best out put!

Custom Projectors
Hey -

Thanks for the great info the RetroShop is the link I had seen about a year ago. I have a 2011 BigHorn, Mineral Grey.

Can anyone make recommendations as to what to get for the $$. I want projectors with Halos and could really use the brighter light at night.

Looking for HID type and Halo type. I know I dont want them painted, but unsure of the best path for the options offered.

Here is the option I selected I would love to use the lights I have now, just unsure how that would work out with no lights for a month.

Headlights: New Replica Lights
Shrouds:Mini Gatling
HID Kit:8000K Economy HIDs
Paint:No Paint
Halos:CCFL - White

uhmmmm id change the shrouds to gatling gun 2.0, they are way cooler looking! but if your not doing it for looks thats fine.

HIDs i wouldnt go past 6000k, or else you lose ALOT of light output. I cant speak for the economy HIDs, but i know there 55w digital ones are wicked bright!

and i prefer LEDs over CCFL, but hey, its up to you!
