Newbie mistake! Posted my tech question in my intro. Anyway just thought I'd ask a question regarding my block heater. Just quit a few days ago so I bought a new cord but it turned out to be the element is NFG. I bought a new 750 watt block heater and have tried to remove old heater. Loosened the bolt under the plug etc. but it's welded in after 20 years. Any suggestions other than a bigger hammer? Thanks.

Find someone with a knowledge of metal and a welder. They may be able to help you.

soak it with PB BLASTER, its on the shelves next to WD-40 & Liquid Wrench
if that doesn't work, you will likely need heat, like a BernzOmatic nozzle with Propane or Map gas
