2002 ram BLOWN 4.7, replacing question
hello guys, first post here. I have a 2002 ram 1500 with a 4.7l engine that is blown. I have done lots of researching and wanting an opinion of what to do. From my research i cannot put an engine with the 32t teeth in it because mine in the 16t (3 plug not 4).
The wreckers up here do not have a good condition 4.7 16t available, would i be better off buying a newer 4.7 (03-07) and replacing the tone plates myself? or swapping the wiring and pcm from the new engine?
This will be my first engine swap so I would rather keep it simple.
Any insight is appreciated!
Replacing the tone wheel requires crankshaft replacement. The easiest thing to do is to get the correct engine.
