I went "cheap" and bought the ST model and now wish I didn't. I have a 2012 Dodge Ram 3500 ST crew cab,4X4, diesel. I was wondering if there is anyway I could get the overhead console w/lights, a compass, and ect. that come standard on the SLT or better models? let me know. Thanks, Mike

It can be done, I did this to my 2011 ST. I can understand not adding a compass or homelink module at the factory to save money on the cheap models but the overhead lights should be included on all of the models.

Any pics of the overhead console install? Also, are there wire tucked up there for the lights, or did you have to tap into the center roof light?

Same here, thought I was saving some money, then thought I had gone to far on the mods, until I saw those mods! My wife said, thought you bought a new Truck, wish I had gotten the diesel 6sp manual SLT or higher now, but, they sure were expensive! But my mods are adding up quickly.

2012 2500 ST 4x4 Crew Cab, $32,750, and it came with:
Keyless Entry
Spray In Bedliner
130 uConnect Bluetooth
Tow Hooks
Rubber/Plastic Floor Liner
EVIC (w/o compass)
TPMS in the EVIC
Trailer Brake Controller

Have Added:
HBS Front Leveling Kit $60
Bilstein 5100 Shocks Front and Rear $300 shockwarehouse
Mopar Fender Flares Sliver $250 ebay
Mopar 430N Radio $900 ebay

Mopar Remote Start $500

Still want to add:

Factory Bumper with Foglights
Factory 60/40 Rear Seat

And I am sure I left something out!

The cluster would be needed for the compass display but not Homelink, that works with or without the display you just cant see the message "transmitting" that you would see on the EVIC.

The compass is tricky to get activated to display on the EVIC since the dealer star scan system is unable to add the sales code required to allow that. I had to find someone locally to activate the feature on my truck using a programmer on a lap top.

I am also looking to add leather seats but first I want to add the 60/40 rear seat like you and when I do that also add the load flat floor.

I am on the fence on adding the bumper since I have the mopar fog light kit.

I do not have any pictures but I can tell you that if you are installing the console and it did not come with the wire harness you can tap into the center light.
