No CD Player in 47K Laramie ... Really?

Bought a 2013 Ram Laramie yesterday.....my salesman was crap.....but bought anyway.....this thing doesn't have a cd player??? 47K....and no CD? I tried searching for the cd changer to buy one...can't find it? Can I add a cd changer? Can someone provide a link?

Welcome to the forum.
If it is a touch screen radio the cd goes in behind the screen, there is button on the front that opens the screen.

With the new 8.4N Uconnect system they don't come with a CD player, it's an added option and the cd is mounted in the lower storage if you have the buckets. Not sure where it mounts if you don't have buckets. Yes you can add it if your truck doesn't have it.

I feel for you but I think most vehicles are going in that direction. Personally I've used my CD player once in the 1 1/2 years I've owned the truck and I could have lived without that.

put the music on a flash drive... or use a mp3 player

I have not used the DVD/CD player once. I put everything on a flash drive and put it on the hard drive.

That is one of the reasons I did not get a 2013! Along with how the radio looked and the rotary swith for shifting gears.

What is this "CD" you guys speak of??

:hah:I'm still using 8Tracks! (I actually did in my first car!)

in the 2013 Rams, no matter which radio, now called a Media Center
the CD player, the thumb drives, & the SD card reader are all optional & they are referred to as Remote, not actually part of the radio, they plug into the radio like a backup camera does
the parts are not yet available to the dealerships

The center consoles for both the bucket and 40-20-40 bench seat configurations are all-new with efficient storage in mind. The new bucket seat console utilizes the extra space as additional storage. The bench seat design includes three new cup holders built into the console lid that features a washable rubber bellow lining, allowing storage for most cup sizes as well as other personal items. Folding back the center console and center front seat base reveals a large storage bin that houses the CD player. Both versions of the console feature two tiers of storage and are available with a new multi-media port with USB, SD card and auxiliary inputs in the upper tier. Additionally, a 2.5-amp USB power port and 12-volt outlet are available to meet device-charging needs
