2011 4.56 Gear Pricing

So i decided that i wanted to pull the trigger on getting some 4.56 gears and LSD installed in my 2011 Ram 1500 since its lifted with 37" tires. I got a quote from eastern offroad in va, they quoted me $3,670.00 for the job. Does this seem high to anyone? i was expecting around the $2500 range

No idea what the price should be but that is definitely higher then I would have guessed.
Im interested in doing this as well so the more info the better!

Dang the closest place you found was in Norfolk? Or are you stationed there military? Your location says PA so I was just wondering. I saw a pricing somewhere on here for gear changing. I will search again for you.

ha yea, that's the closest place to me that will touch a 11 rear end. I'm not worried about the drive, but the price kinda shocked me. Almost enough to make me contemplate trading for a lifted cummins

~$2500 is ringin a bell to me. So as the others said your quote seems a little steep. I'm having trouble finding where I saw that at..I'll keep lookin when I have time.

But yeah it won't be a terrible drive. And after spending a couple thousand for the swap...whats a few extra bucks in gas? haha. You can go chill on the beach while you wait! Just be careful in the ghetto of Norfolk haha.

Haha yea, i sure hope another shop pops up doing these for less

I was quoted 3500 in Chicago for this exact job on a 12. Both of the front and rear carriers need to be replaced, some will machine them to fit and some will just replace them.

Bro thats crazy!!! I just dropped mine off there this morning. Their opening up my rear again.

That price is rediculous. Why dont you just do a carrier and get it installed locally. That'd run the norm 2k

They open it up and give it a peek and poke every 5k.

I wouldn't pay that shit that's for sure. My buddy got his 11 done for 2200 I believe, that's buying everything through them too. The nice thing about the shop is the lifetime warranty.
