HELP a chick out!
HELP! I have a 2000 dodge ram that has been sitting for a couple months. The weather in the last few days has gone from60s and 70s to 20s and 30s and when I drove it today the oil pressure was going up, up, up! I didn't want to cause additional problems so I took it back home instead of to the mountains:smiledown: It has a little over 100,000 miles. Before leaving the house i checked under the hood to make sure all looked well. Also checked amount of oil and antifreeze. Any suggestions?
I have seen this with clogged oil lines. Gunk in the line somewhere causin much more pressure to move the oil.
I know that doesn't help much.
define the oil pressure was going up? I mean my ls1 had 70psi of oil pressure when hot above 1500rpm. That was with a melling high volume of course.
If your oil pressure was over 70 hot on a stock pump it would raise some flags.
