shes alive!!

the ice is early this year, snow is average so far but that could change with a foot of it in the forecast for this week!!

note the shitty stock rims back on my truck too... boooo... couldnt bare running 1650 dollar fuel wheels in the salt so I had them changed, still 2nd guessing changing them though, I dont like the stock rims anymore and dont plan to drive the truck much past next spring, and the fuels wont fit my next truck so maybe I should have just ram them. But oh well I am happy for snow!

was haoping to modify the sled a bit for this winter, the engine warranty is up (not that it really mattered) so I wanted to do a new head, efi tuner, ful exhaust system, clutching and gearing but money is tighter than I had thought it would be so stick she stays, maybe next winter she will get some not so needed but desired ponnies

So we won't be seeing you much now that the sled is out lol! What is the next truck you are getting 2013 2500?

2011 ASSAULT 800 12-18-2012 08:26 PM

no no I will still be around, during the weeks lol, the next truck will likely be a 07.5+ 2500 cummins. The epa has just cracked down on the Americans with tuning diesels and future diesel are going to be 20% more restrictive than they already are so I think its time I get my fix before they start cracking down on Canadians too. Plus I want better fuel economy and more power ( well over 20 mpg is easily achievable with a deleted cummins)

a 4th gen 2500 would be nice but will liekly be out of reach come this summer I think, plus I would like to buy the house I am renting at some point in the near future so a used low mileage truck would be better wiser option I think

That's one sport I am dying to try! I grew up Dirt bike riding and racing go Karts and now I am into jet skiing, but I have always wanted to jump on a sled (seems like it will fit in well with the rest of the motorsports I enjoy). I might try and rent one up in Oregon this season.

If you've never gone sledding, GO! I do not know a single person that enjoys the outdoors and machines that doesn't absolutely love sledding. :)

My Brother back in Connecticut did everything he could to his snow mobiles
his engine & housing was so wide, he could only put 1 leg along side of it, his other leg he had to sort of sit on.
When someone could go faster than he could, he would modify it more

He was crazy like that with everything, right up until he was driving a gasoline tanker up a country road & another trucker that was coming down hill hit him, Now he has trouble even standing up at times, no more fun, apprehensive about even driving :(
The DRs. say he has Meniere's disease

As a long way from home Alaskan, I highly endorse Sledding and that Slednecks* banner in your garage

it is deffinetly worth trying, AJ. I ended up going for a ride sunday, flew off a jumbo snow pile by mistake, bent an A arm, landed very hard on my back, went to emerge but everything is fine, so they say, still a little tender... not even 1 mile on the sled so far this season lol woops - once you hear that its too late.
