nerf bar help needed
i recently purchased a pair of n-f_b cab-length nerf bars #D0973QC and while installing the threaded clips at the rear location, i noticed that the bolt holes are off center from the larger top factory hole.
because of this, the forward clip is not long enough for the threaded hole to reach the bolt hole opening.
i will try to post an image (worth 1000 words) later unless someone has already experienced the same problem and has a solution.
thanks in advance!

I had to leave all the bolts sloppy loose, until i had them all in
then i tightened them up

first, thanks for the help.
let me clarify some ...
the distance from the edge of the larger top factory hole to the forward bolt hole is large enough so when the clip hooks around the top hole edge the threaded clip hole cannot reach and line-up with the bolt hole

^ To me those look like they were mounted on the wrong side. Shouldn't the longer step be in the front? Or are they in back to access bed?

rear mount bolt holes location

seeing as you have a 2012 Dodge RAM 4x4 (albeit a CC), have you noticed the bolt holes being off-center of the larger top hole on the backmost step mounting location?

on mine, the bolt holes are off-center and toward the front on both the driver and passenger sides ...

i had my N-fab nerf bars modified, they came with 2 short steps
at the time that i purchased them, they had not started making the ones with 3 steps for the 4th Gen Rams
I need access to my sign, i need to be able to raise & lower it, so this was the best configuration
