Glasspacks on 5.7 Hemi
Hello, i am after an exhaust that gives a nice deep tone. I have friends that use glasspacks and i like the idle tone it puts out. I was woundering if anyone had added glasspacks to their 2012 Hemi's with the 1 in 2 out stock dual exhaust? If so please share sound clips. Any other suggestions would also be appreciated.

i am so tempted to try the mufflex system. The sound is really what im after. anyone have an idea how it does as far as inspection with their muffler delete option? btw i have an s10 with a 355 small block no cats flowmaster 40 and the drone doesn't bother me a bit (the neighbors well...maybe a little but thats ok with me)

The 18" Magnaflow is a glasspack, it's just oval. All the Mufflex systems are made with Magnaflow oval glasspack mufflers. The mufflex system costs $100 MORE than buying a muffler and welding it in properly. Food for thought. The Magnaflows run $150ish on price. The average guy on here pays 40-60 bucks to have it welded on in about 30-40 minutes. I highly suggest you have it welded in. The Mufflex systems are hit or miss. Some people fight leaks, some people have no problems.
I don't have a sound clip but my 18" Jones Maxflow is built just like the Magnaflows, it's made of T409 with very nice welds and only costs 67 bucks shipped from our forum vendor BSM Exhaust works. It is very deep sounding, exhaust. Pretty loud when you romp on it, and when you are not the neighbors can sleep soundly.. At idle it sounds like a 400hp Hemi should.

Thats my 12 express 1 in 2 out 18inch glasspack. Had an 18 inch magnaflow before that was much quieter. I only paid 90 bucks for the glasspack installed, the magnaflow cost me 230

I quite honestly prefer the Mopar cat back, if it wasn't for the fact that it could void warranty, it would already be done. Let us know what you decide on.

Well,to tell you the truth, I had a Thrush welded muffler on my '06 F-150 and duals out each side behind rear wheels, and it sounded awesome. The muffler was like $30, and the tailpipes bent ,another $110.
