Tires and Rims
I have a 2011 Dodge Ram Outdoorsman 1500 with stock rims and tires as you can see in the picture.
The question i have is what would be the best size rim i should go with for this truck?...take in mind i will be putting on some all terrain tires since i do drive across the rough ground when i go out to see my horses.
I have always put on 20 inch rims, but i was wondering if 18 inch rims would be better so i can get bigger tires.
This is not a 4x4 and i do not have the money to put in a level kit at this time.
Also, can anyone give me the biggest size to go with that wont rub.
I would say an 18 in wheel with a 33 in tire would be your max bet man! That's what I would suggest, 33 might rub just a tish but it will be as big as you could go.
The stock 20" rim and tire combo is 33" tall. There's no reason you shouldn't be able to run at least a 34" tall tire.
Whether you go with 18" or 20" rims really just depends on the look you want. If you like the look of the bigger rim, go with the 20's. If you prefer a little more tire sidewall, I would probably recommend the 18's.
