Installed AFE Stage 2 Intake

So I picked up an afe intake. Came in the mail a few days ago and got around installing it today. Im impressed with the quality add fit, it was painless to install, even at -15c. Truck sounds a lot meaner now when on the gas! Also seems like mds will stay on more.

Looks good. I am a huge supporter of AFE Stage 2 pro dry S for the Cummins. IMO the best CAI for the Cummins. I am going to run the S&B for my Hemi, I just like their setup and they are great for Cummins as well.

Is the throttle response better? Meaning if you are driving along and you wanted to blip the throttle(kinda make the truck bark assuming you have exhaust) does it do that? Also keep us informed of MPG if any.

I've had this intake on my truck for a few months. Throttle response is a lot better over stock. As far as MPG improvements go it's hard to tell, because they switched to winter mix right at the time that I installed this.

Throttle response seems a little better, not much tho. Fuel miledge has improved somewhat. Now just need a programmer lol

OP, question for ya.

I have the same intake...did you oil yours before you installed it? Or installed it "as is" out of the box? The blue filter there, is the one that gets oiled. So last week I noticed all my blue color was gone and the filter was pretty dirty so I cleaned it per the instructions and oiled it for the first time (I didn't before install). I can tell the difference and not in a good way...its not AWFUL but I feel like oiling it made it noticeably less free flowing and doesn't growl as much as before. Also the oil doesn't wick up the filter medium as well as the instructions make it seem to.

I would go online and order an AFE stage 2 pro dry s filter. Then replace the oiled one. I personally hate oiled filters.
