i don't know where the reference numbers explanation list is
The R1 and R2 are made by Conti
The R3 and R4 are made by Harman Kardon
a bit more information may be found at
I should have paid for the upgrade on my 2012, I hate my little stereo, no nav, damn it. I want a new one already.
On theplus side Oneshot, you could go buy a decent Navigation stand alone unit for under $200 and it will have lifetime free map upgrades and free traffic reports. They want $149 for the map upgrades, and traffic costs like $5 a month.
The question is.... will it or can it be put in a 2012....
Someone will attempt modifying their dash board
unless they make the radios functions work on a work bench, i don't believe that they will get the new goodies to work in our Rams
Personally i too think a double din aftermarket radio is the way to go, for those that want more functionality
