engine idles high or wants to stall

I have an 02 1500 with a 360 that idles either around 1500 to 2200 rpm or wants to stall. put a IAC in it but still all over the place. checked for vac leaks to no avail. I put a TPS in it a year ago that stoped the shifting issue but this about has me beat. Could it be a MAF sensor or dirty throtle body? Any tips?

You don't have a MAF sensor in your truck. This could be an internal vacuum leak caused by a blown plenum pan gasket. How did you check for an external vacuum leak?

high idle

I checked for any broken or loose hoses. Then sprayed carb cleaner at anything suspect. Problem is it wasnt running poorly at the time i did it and i heard no differences. I ment MAP sensor not MAF sensor sorry. I want to rule out whatever i can maybe even get a new TPS. Also i have been smelling coolant but no leaks found. Not sure if a intake gasket would have anything to do with it. No loss of power.

A widely passed over vaccum leak is the brake booster and also the intake pan gasket as it is so common with these engines and I would start by checking your voltage both in and out of your TPS as it would help rule it out. It can get pretty expensive randomly changing sensors.
