Getting ready to put one together myself. I'm going to use three stacked 2 1/2 " american standard pipes. Bending the ends about 20 degrees. 3/8" plate on the ends, license plate area and frame mounts. Powdercoat.
I'll post pictures in a couple of weeks when it's done.
My factory bumper is still intact, but very rusty.

Did you ever get this bumper finished?

Good few months have passed since the OP created the thread. I'll post my rendition to at least show some pics.

1/4" plate used for the mounting to frame bolt locations.
3"x3"x0.188" square tube for the main pieces
2x2x0.120 square tube for the quarter panel sliders
2" round tube
Misc pieces for gusset reinforcement
Retained stock license plate holder
