I came on today to see peoples reactions to this news but havent found anything on it. so here it is. the 2013 Ram HD to carry 30,000lb max tow rating. yes... 30 with a K with 850ft-lbs. The 2500 now carries a tow rating of 25,000lbs. thats just crazy. heres the article

Isn't a Commercial Driver's License required for gvwr over 26K (in the USA)? RAM HD would be way over that.

The 2500's max tow is 18k, the combined weight rating is 25k.

You would only need a cdl if you were towing something heavy enough to put you over the weight limit. most people would never pull that much. the ones that would probably would already have a cdl anyways.

yes, you're right about the 2500 with the 18350. I skimmed the press release and didnt notice the err in logical sense because I was dumbfounded by the 850ft lbs in the 3500.

I was talking to MTO enforcement officer about this and he said it was his responsibility to prove that my combine weight of truck trailer and load was over what my licence permits.

What I want to know is where are the official specifications for the 2500/3500, Dodge is dropping the ball here IMHO.

This is all true. Unfortunately we cant order the 13 HD yet.. I have about 6 customers on the waiting list.. Hoping to be able to order them soon. They will be amazing trucks... But also very $$$$

The official unvieling of the 13 is set for the Detroit Autoshow. I think thats supposed to happen next week. Manufacturers usually release full specs 2 or 3 days before in order to let the jurnos research for Q&A sessions. In most cases they usually open orders for the vehicle within a day of the unvieling.

southern Ontario? Buy it in Detroit. With the conversion rates lately im sure you could knock the price down a couple $$. Im not sure if that legal or logical but its just an idea that you might want to look into.
