Intermittent Miss

I have a 1991 Dodge Ram 250 Van, 3/4 ton, 5.9 liter engine with more than 400,000 miles. My van still runs like a new one and has given me extremely good service over the years with relatively very little maintenance costs. However, yesterday it suddenly started to have an intermittent miss that felt as if someone was turning the key off and on for different lengths of time (seconds or a fraction of a second). I immediately suspected the fuel pump which was changed out 100,000 miles ago, but does anybody have another thought on the problem? Thanks.

Any component of the sceondary ignition system could be to blame. Rule out the fuel system by performing a pressure and volume test, then go after the ignition system if that doesn't fix it.

Thank you RamTech. Adding to the issue is the fact that today the van drove perfectly allright. We have been experiencing a lot of rain and moisture. I wonder if that could play a part.
