Rear Power Sliding Window Seals...Where to buy?
I have read many, many posts concerning water leaks around the rear window. I narrowed my leak down to leaking seals around the sliding power window and I have read post from several that have had my problem. Thanks to the good information that I received I have unplugged the tiny drain holes found about 6.5 inches from each corner of the rear window, which helped, but the drain holes cannot keep up with the leak.

I have searched for a source to purchase those seals. My Ram dealership parts desk could not find a part reference for just the seals, however, I have read post on this forum that the seals were replaced by the dealer...??? surely someone makes and sells these seals.

These look like a standard automotive window seal, but I cannot find a source. I am sure that I probably can take the truck to an auto glass shop and have them replaced, but I would prefer to do it myself....that just always seems to work out the best for me.... Any ideas??

If no one knows any part numbers or where to buy these seals, does anyone know who makes these power sliding windows for Dodge?? Maybe I can contact them for seals.

Someone told me that the window seal or sweep is a part of the lower channel as shown here:

Does anyone know if this is true? If so, does anyone know how the lower channel is replaced? A lot of guys have this same problem, it would be great to find a solution to this leak!

Well I hate to be one of those guys that is the only one to respond to his own posts but SURELY someone has replaced the sweep or seal on these power rear windows! Or, at least, someone should know if that Chrysler part (lower channel) includes the seal and how much trouble it is to replace....

Any help is appreciated!! I am not the only guy with this problem and so far the only solution anyone has come up with is sealing the sliding window with RTV or silicon....which make the window useless....

Guess I am the only guy who does not want a fishbowl for a truck.... Anyway, I give up, I have just siliconed the window shut. It is ashamed because I did like to use it from time to time.

I have owned several Fords, a GMC and a Toyota. None of them leaked. This is my first Dodge runs like a scalded cat, rides good and looks great....but I cannot tolerate water leaks in a post year 2000 model pickup truck! That is simply not acceptable! And from my reading of all of the other Ram forums a lot of folk have leaky Rams...joke is on us!
