tire brand choices help
I am getting ready to put on some new tires in the next month I have narrowed it down to the a 285/50/20 with one of three brands
Nitto 420s
falken Ziex S/TZ-4
or the
Toyo proxes ST

Unless there is just an over whelming push for another brand or style that is justified as better. I am not looking for aggressive treads, hence the reason I did not list the cooper zeon or some of the other all terrain tread styles.
any input on what you guys think on why your choice is good or the bad that you have experienced.

I needed a high mileage tire that grabbed the road, even when it is wet
I went with Michelin LTX M/S 2, 70,000 mile tire

Yokohama Geolandar A/T-s..but they only have a close size of 275/55R20

+1 for the Nitto's  ! Absolutely love mine!! :smiley_thumbs_up: I had the Falkens on my Yukon and was disappointed.

I voted for the proxes... Ran them on my TBSS and absolutely loved them

Not sure if this helps you at all but I plan on getting cooper HT's. I've gotten a lot of miles out of coopers and firestones. The coopers are made in USA usually.

cool, some good feed back so far. I am looking at some street performance as well as appearance for my lowered truck. It is tough trying to find a tire that looks good, performes well and will last more than 30K miles. I do like the looks of the cooper Ht plus and it comes in the size i am looking at. so far its between the Nittos and toyos so far. the coopers seem to be the most expensive so far with the nittos the cheapest.

+1 on Nitto 420's for looks and is my next choice for my 2012 R/T but I've been doing a lot of research on the net and found that there were some issues with side wall cracking not related with Nitto but because a few retailers were selling shelf expired tires so just make sure where or whomever you make the purchase to check the shelf expiration on them and you will be good to go  good luck with your choice
