new intake
Hey guy's this is the first mod ima do to the ram but should i save up for the k&n

or do you think this is sufficient for now

The choice is yours but i always believed that you get what you pay for. Also I am not sure where that is gonna pull any cold air in the middle of the WARM engine compartment?

kinda what i was thinking as well

theres a few other options that go to the side like the k&n does and ya you do get what you pay for but im looking for something to help with mpg a little right now till my girl gets this new job and makes the money that we no she will make plus im looking at working at the same place...

So until money get's better than it's done on a budget but its saying 13mpg right now i live in a hilly area that's y but they main thing's i was looking at increasing mpg with was new exhaust and a intake debating now wether to go with diablo or bully dog tuner

any suggestion on the tuner is appreciated as well

that thing would be cool on a 4th gen. with the sport hood modded to work.

If you like the look, buy it. To be honest, K&N did nothing for my truck on the dyno either. I doubt even the gen 4 hood would make any difference as the air on top of the hood is negative pressure.

your spending more then you will ever save

 I did one of these to my 03' Ram years ago, low priced & promised gas mpg increases. But, after the install...I hated the thing! It reduced everything. Top end dropped, MPG was cut by 25% and it just sounded sick. Save your OEM air box...You will want to put it back on in a month!
