Need help with codes. Tryin to figure out what I should do next

P 2314 Ignition coil "E" secondary circuit
P 0305 cylinder 5 misfire

I am just tryin to think what I should do next. Should I change the plugs on that cylinder or the coil pack? Or both? Do I need to change the wire too?

try moving the coil that is misfiring to see if the misfire follows the coil. If it does thats your problem, if not then could be either spark plug (probably) or and issue in wiring.

How many miles on the truck? Last time plugs and/or coils been replaced?

It has 56000 on it. I dont know if the plugs or coils have been changed before, and I havent done it yet.
Do you know which cylinder 5 is?

P2314 is actually for #5 insufficient ionization on the secondary circuit and is typically caused by a failed coil. Cylinder #5 is the third one from the front on the drivers side. Given the mileage on your truck, I would recommend changing the plugs and replacing the #5 coil.

Thanks RamTech. I just ordered a coil and went ahead and got new top plugs since its past time to change em. Hopefully this will fix my problem.
