Rims and Tire Sizes.

Okay, I got a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT 2x4. Stock. I'm about to put a 2" leveling kit on it. I need to know what the biggest rims and tires I can put on it without rubbing. I want 20" rims and 37"x12.5R20 tires. I know that is probably WAY too big for just a 2" leveling kit. Can someone help me what I am able to do. Thanks. :4-dontknow:

35x12.5 or a metric equivalent is the biggest you'll be able/want to go with a level. There is a guy on here that says he squeezed 37" tires on his 4th gen but in my opinion it looks ridiculous, and I have no idea how he fit them. You have an earlier 3rd gen that clears 35x12.5 tires more easily than the later 3rd gens (06-08). Depending on the stance you want (tires sticking out or not) dictates what offset you should get. I'm not certain for your earlier 3rd gen on what offset guarantees clearing the 12.5 inch wide tire. I have -12mm offest (picture below) Those are 35"x12.5"s (well just under 34" mounted on the truck)

Now is that with 20" rims what?

those are 17" rims on my truck. I dropped down because it's signifcantly cheaper. that same set in 20" inner diameter tires and 20" wheels would have been almost a grand more

Oh wow thanks man

Okay. So I'm looking at the XD Series Rockstar Rims. It lets me put my truck in the database so it can tell me the specific rim size that will fit and its only giving me the option of buying the 20"x8.5" size with 275/55R20 tire sizes. Would that be a good fit? Cause it won't let me go down to stock rim size with is 17"s. I don't know why its only letting me chose 20" for my specific truck.
