ok so my tires are rubbing on wat i believe are my control arms but only when i crank the wheel on my 98 ram sport is there anything i can do other than get smaller tire or a bugger lift

You need to provide a little more info.
Is the suspension stock, lifted, leveled? Stock wheels and are the tires the OE size or larger/wider (if so whats the tire size). Have you climbed under to see where it is rubbing?
Different wheels, different tires, spacers all might help depending on what you have.

What are the #'s I had some sway bar rub on hard turns in my 09 with a 305/55r20 due to the stock wheels offset but no other rubbing.

the tire size is 285/75/r16
