Just ordered some goodies

I just placed and order for new headers, flowmaster y pipe, magnaflow muffler, spectre drop in filter and superchips 3865 programmer. I have already got an appointment to have the exhaust installed Thursday and have new 3" pipe ran from the y-pipe to the back. I did the DIY intake mod and I have already noticed improved throttle response from that. Can't wait to get all the new parts on the truck!

should be a pretty substantial increase in power! Let us know how it goes and take a video of how the exhaust sounds

Will do. I see in your sig that you dipped all your chrome. Where does one get that done and what is the cost?

That shoud increase power....Take some pics and post them if you get a chance,.....

I'll try and snap a few pics of the exhaust and headers during and after installation. I'm not expecting a huge power increase but I'm hoping for maybe 20 rwhp. I just hope all these mods help when I pull my welding trailer.

You will get more than 20hp. The tuner alone will probably give you that.

SnoylCC5 02-18-2013 07:20 PM

Yea.. you will definitely get more than 20hp. Should be closer to 50-70hp (if i had to guess). and the plasti dip, i bought a few cans at Home Depot and just masked off the areas of my truck and sprayed away lol costed $30 and a few hours of work

pruitt146 02-18-2013 09:36 PM

Really? I would have thought 20 rwhp would have been on the high side. 30-40 rwhp and I would be tickled lol.

snrusnak 02-18-2013 10:39 PM

The tuner alone will add 18hp and 20lbft on the 91 performance tune. I'd expect 30+ with everything you're doing.

pruitt146 02-18-2013 11:06 PM

I was thinking of using the 87 or 89 tune. It's hard to get 91 around my house but 87 and 89 are at every station.
