Ditch flowmaster for quiet muffler??

After driving this Cadillac around for 2 weeks it has me thinking of removing my flowmaster muffler off my truck in favor of a stock or quieter one when I get my truck back.

After having this car so quiet I can hear a pin drop in the back seat I kinda want my truck back quiet.

Thinking mainly of putting a stock one in and adding a cutout for when I want it loud.

Anyone got a stock dual exhaust muffler? :)

Which version of the Flowmaster are you currently running?

I've got a 50 series HD that I love. It sound great from behind the truck at idle, and when you go WOT, but when you're cruising it's pretty close to stock sound. I also still have the resonators installed, so that may be a factor.

You could go with a Magnaflow instead of stock. They are generally quieter than FM. I swapped from a FM Super 44 to an 14" MF and it's a fair bit quieter. Obviously, an 18" or 22" MF would be even quieter.

I know how you feel. As much as I love the sound of my truck, driving my Ford Edge work vehicle is much more peaceful, lol.

Yes I have a stock dual muffler, had 1500 miles on it when i removed. Would sell for $50.00 and you pay shipping or pickup in person. Can send pictures if needed. It came off a 2012 Ram Express.

Honestly? Just move to a magnaflow, I have a 14" on mine and it idles very close to stock, the more gas you give, the louder it gets. But no drone when cruising around

+1 on Magnaflow. They sound great and are not very loud at all.
