RER 730N question

Can anyone confirm if this radio is high speed or low speed? I have seen some on ebay that are low speed, but i thought these radios came only in high speed. And also, i already have the mic. kit. These radios do come with the built in blu tooth dont they? Sorry for asking, i have been researching and starting to get confused.

the RER could be either high or low speed, if you are buying it from someone
in 2008 they had them, but they were low speed
in 2009 Rams they were high speed or didn't work

this site has a RER radio manual that you can read
http://www.oemautopartsco.com/

the 2012s use a RHR 730n radio, just about everything is built in, it is an newer upgrade from the RER

the 2012 also used a RHB 430N & you have to buy a uconnect module

I did find a part number list, P05064818ac. It states it is a high speed. Says Sirius on the front. Do you know if i need any other special parts for this?

Found the answer. Thankyou for the link and info. Now to convince the wife so i can spend $425 for the radio.

That is a GREAT price for that radio

I have the RER myself, only thing that i dislike is having to buy the Navigation maps every few years. $149. plus shipping & handling
they just did an update in December & i am going to get it soon

Maybe when they flash my computer they will update the radio for free. Wishful thinking maybe.

GTyankee 02-27-2013 08:31 PM

They may update the radio, but not the maps

Bluetooth stopped working on my 730n RER

Good day,

Recently my Bluetooth stopped working on my 730n RER, the bluetooth Icon lower left of screen also disapear. I have disconnect the battery hoping to reset the Media Center but I beleive it did not reset it at all since my set up remains the same.

Is someone ever experience the same problem and can someone let me know the right steps to reset this Media Center, I suspect that a good reset will bring back my bluetooth, if not I will have to have the dealer fix this.

Many thanks

Chrsylser Canada said to my dealer to replace the whole unit but this is not cover by warranty, in this truck this 730n RER was replaced but 14 months ago and the warranty is 12 months ..

If they are not going to fix that issue, is anyone outhere could suggest me what I should try ? At that point I would not mind looking inside the unit maybe it is only a bad connection.
