Hi everyone

I am in need of a new set of tires for my Ram 1500, 4wd, Crew cab.
I want a highway tire for traveling, good mileage, good in the rain, with very good handling.
Any ideas or suggestions are certainly appreciated.
Thanks,
Will Bill

Take a look at the Michelin LTX M/S2. Not a cheap option though.

Just picked up a set of Nitto Dura Grappler for my ordered 2013 Laramie. Sweet looking tires.

Bridgestone Dueler H/L or Firestone Destination LE. Same exact tires as far as build construction, only difference is the tread pattern and lettering on the tire..They put the same tire in two different molds. The Duelers are a bit pricey but it is a superior tread design and looks a little nicer. I have the Destinations on my wife's Jeep and they have 60K miles and another 5k or so left in them. They were mounted and balanced only one time. They never needed rebalancing. Very quiet comfortable ride.. Wet traction is awesome. You can't even tell it's raining, no spinninng, hydroplaning and you can brake hard with no worries.

The Cooper Zeon LTZ is a great tire but if you want a dedicated highway tire I don't think it's for you. They wear pretty good but you aren't going to get the mileage out of them that you would a true highway tire and mine are starting to whine a little bit with 15k miles on them. I love Cooper tires but the LTZs are pretty aggressive so a little noise is to be expected.

I would take a good hard look at the Cooper Discoverer H/T Plus. It an American made tire that gets great reviews all over, looks good, and is priced right. You can probably get a new set installed for around $700.
