Wind Whistle
Was on the road (as usual) today and it was exceptionally windy. Both my 11 and now my 13 have suffered from the same crosswind whistle. If I was to turn and drive nose into the wind or with wind the whistle disappears, only in a crosswind does she whistle like this. I've tried folding the mirrors, different antennas, open windows, closed windows, different heater settings, you name it and can't figure out what's causing it. I've talked with other local Ram owners and I know of 3 of us that all have the same issue.
Anyhow, here is the vid with my famous whistle!

Any ideas?

Mine does the same thing when there is a cross wind. It's somewhere on the passenger side. I just turn up my radio and it goes away. Seriously if we could figure this out I would be grateful as well.

As of 3pm this afternoon I've done 10,000 km since November 1st. I seriously need to figure this out and make it go away.

go old school
tape up the door seams on a windy day & see if the whistle stops
if it does, tear off a section of tape & drive again
tear off another section etc
When the whistle starts again, you know you found it

Antenna? But you replaced that, so maybe running boards....just an idea

I have a 2010, and mine started doing it at like 30,000. While I was driving I had my wife tug on all the doors and nothing but as soon as I pulled on the drivers door it stopped, so I'm almost sure its the weather stripping. As soon as I return from this deployment I'm going to have all the weather stripping replaced. I would check there.

I had this on my 96 ram passenger side and noticed the top alignment was different then the driver side. So I placed a jack under the passenger side door, loosened the hinge bolts and tipped the door a little then tyted the bolts. No more wind noise.

It's not the doors or door seals, they are quiet. The noise literally sounds like it's right in the dash just to the right of the Alpine sign!

I would try removing the entire wiper assembly, arm and all.....both of them. There are enough surfaces and angle on them that it is possible to create a whistle under certain conditions and they are basically in the right area. :4-dontknow:

Another item to test is to run a piece of tape at the bottom of the windshield on to the plastic trim piece between the hood and the windshield. That would stop/reduce the air from passing by that seam. :4-dontknow:

I'm going to try the wiper thing tomorrow! Have to run out to a couple spots and have a good highway run. Let's hope it's windy!
