What do you think?

Im doing a hole new exhaust setup. Im putting on long tube headers and don't know what piping I should use:4-dontknow: Im going with all new stainless dumped in front of the back tire. Should I 2.5" into a Y then 3" into muffler and 3" out or doul 2.5" out?

Your header should be a 3" collector, check that to be sure. Will you be keeping stock cats? If you're doing a whole exhaust, do you still want to do a y-pipe or split it and do true duals, H-pipe, and dump?

If you're doing a dump before the rear axle, I would do a 3" in, 3" out muffler, no need to split it and cause unnecessary restriction. Also check out the type of mufflers you can get, straight through ones like corse or borla are worth it if you want the exhaust flow.

The headers come with high flow cat. I don't really know what would work best for performance (putting this baby on the bottle) duals with H or Ypipe???

should you be watching out for back pressure -- you dont want to lose power and torque .

If he sprays off the line then losing torque will never be an issue, keeping his wheels planted will be.

That's the plan! so what do yall think, 3" dual in and out with an H or 3" in with dual out with an Ypipe????

if your gonna do dual in an out and run 3" piping in front of muffler, I would keep the rear piping at 2.5".. even with my motor setup (cam an heads), that exhaust would be too big...

the reason I say go smaller anyways besides the scavenging effect, it will give you the option later to run cutouts right after the H later on, you'll get your free flow there..

I hear cutouts are bad about leaking???

Back pressure is a joke to us. We really don't need to be worried about back pressure. Pressure waves in our long systems make enough back pressure. Size it bigger always. 3" is a good decision for duals. and 3.5" or bigger for a single system.

Now a short system that dumps 2 feet after the header collectors will be lacking back pressure. But that's a different story....
