What if tuner dies/breaks/stolen/lost?

This is a hypothetical question but I can see this happening to someone (knock on wood).

I have a Diablosport Trinity and have the 91 performance tune installed. If for some reason the tuner dies, breaks, is stolen or lost, would there be anyway to restore the computers PCM to stock?

That is a good question but I bet you would have to "borrow" one and have diablo send you the stock tune. I dont really know though.

A dealership reflash on the PCM would/should store it back to OEM and erase all stored tunes....I'm thinking.

Excellent question indeed.

Hope someone can provide a definitive answer.

Well, certainly a dealer can erase and reflash a stock tune to your truck.

Extract a copy of your stock tune from your programmer and keep it on a CD or some other storage media just in case.

You may need it to restore to OEM specs if your tuner is lost, stolen or damaged.

The issue of how you restore the tune yourself would have to be solved either with a call to DS to borrow a Predator or you end up purchasing a new tuner.

Very good question. I was about to ask this also.

Its the same as having a B&G tune, Its in there and the only way to get it back stock is to have a dealer reflash
