Unscientific MPG test

I have had this 2010 4x4 5.7(completely stock) 20” rims 3.55rear for a month now. The first week or so I just got familiar with the way this one was different from my ’04. I drive a minimum of 100 miles a day with 70 miles being 2 lane hwy 4 small towns with 35mph and the rest 55 mph. the other is town traffic with red light ever miles. Everything is basically flat. 2 tanks of 89 10% ethanol evic 18.9 hand calc was 17.8. I ran 1 tank of 87 non ethanol and just filled up this morning and evic was 19.2 and hand calc was 18.4. I expect it to average out after 2 tanks to be close to 20 on evic. After I filled up I went next door to the speed shop and scheduled to have an 18” magna flow installed next week Tuesday or Wednesday when I should have to fill up again. I am going to continue the fuel test as I add exhaust, the following week I will probably get the K&N CIA and the week after that the diablo tuner. Stay tuned

I had no idea you could even get 85 octane fuel.

Must be nice to be able to get non ethanol gas. Everything around here is 10% min some having 15%.

I would strongly recommend avoiding the 15% stuff. Unless something has changed that I'm unaware of, non-flex fuel Chrysler engines are designed to run on no more than 10% ethanol.

AWWWWWWWW screw the MPG. I had a magnaflow installed last week and it sounds too good. I'm getting a tuner tommorow so another week is out the window. I will finish my test some time this year. Maybe
