2010 ram 1500 flowmaster muffler issues!!
My 2010 ram 1500 5.7 hemi got a flowmaster muffler put on it about 3 weeks
Ago , was just swapped and welded , the truck sounded awesome deep aggressive tone , that was the only thing done to exhaust
, up until this weekend the truck was running and sounding great , it sat from Sunday afternoon - til wednesday , it also sat through some heavy rains , when I went to start it on Wednesday I was expecting to hear to normal aggressive loud
Rumble , when I eventually started it , it was basically like the truck was stock! I don't know how the sound changed or why . I did fill up with fuel like I do every weekend .... I only use shell 89 octane ... I also did get on the truck a little
Bit as of late , like driving it pretty hard .... So those 3
Things are the only things I can think of , bad tank of gas , water got into something , pretty much clueless right now

someone else on here reported the same thing. I'll see if I can find the thread and see if they came up with an answer. I remember posting on that thread because I told them about a dream a had when I first got flowmasters on my f150, i dreamed my exhaust stopped being loud and it turned into a nightmare!

found it..but nothing useful.

I would go back to the shop that installed it and have them take a listen and a look. Couldn't hurt anything

I'm gonnnnna mess with the truck today , try disconnecting battery to reset the computer !!! I know something happened to make it quieter just no idea what , I did read somewhere that it's shitty to put a muffler on these rams without putting a y pipe , or vice versa , but something's is definitely up , I went by the shop that put the muffler on , he said drive it for a couple days and if it continues , then bring it back and he will swap out the muffler for me with another flowmaster .... Maybe just to see if that one was a defect . I should've went with the cumminss

I'm debating doing the same and just putting a full flowmaster exhaust . I can't seem to figure out what's wrong , it starts as soon as truck is started up, sounds as thought its not getting enough power , no rumble .

man, it's so weird how things like this happen

I asked a local truck shop here and they told me there was no need to do the full cat back exhaust just swap out the muffler like you did. That was great news for saving money but if things like this happen I'll do the full kit.
