94 5.9L Connector Identification
My son cut this 2 prong connector out to put one of those 19.95 supposed get better fuel mileage boxes that doesn't work worth a crap. I have tried to identify this connector so I could buy a new one as I cannot figure out how to get those locking wire inserts out so I could put the 2 wires back in. I thought was a MAP sensor but wrong place then thought maybe an air temp sensor but this goes into the manifold on the passenger side of engine just behind the alternator. The engine is a 1994 5.9L V-8 with auto transmission. Here are some pictures if anyone know what this is and where I could find that wouldbe great. Better would be if anyone knows of a way to poke those two wire holders out of so I could re-insert the wires. I couldn't identify it out of the old Haynes manual I had either.
Let me know
IAT or Intake Air Temp sensor is what you've got. I would just get one from a salvage vehicle and splice it in.
weather tight plug
That is called a weather tight plug and there is a tool that slides down over the pin to release it from the plug.If you can find a peice of thin tubing that will slide over the pin it would release the pin.
