Real World 8 Speed MPG With Hemi?

ok, I have heard on this and other forums that there are Hemis out there with the 8 speed on the street....if true, does anyone have any real world, daily driving mileage to report? :4-dontknow:

I saw on today on a dealer Lot!

As Dodge rates them they get 2 more MPG; I saw a 4 door sport with the 8 speed rated at 15-21 and they had the same truck with the regular 6 speed rated at 13-19. So the new 8 speeds are worth 2 more MPG!!!

Was this truck a 4X4?

I'm getting 15.3 in town and 19.6 highway at 70mph with 275/65r20 BFGoodrich Rugged Terrain tires and Bilstein leveling shocks. MUCH better than my 2012 Tundra!

I've got the 1500 4x4 sport with 8 speed. So far I've driven 300 km's (187 miles), about 60% highway and 40% city and I'm getting an average of 14.1 L/100 KM, which equals to 16 MPG. Also keep in mind I've been at times accelerating very quickly. I could be doing slightly better

8 speed 4x4 crew cab laramie, 500 miles on it. Mix driving 60% hwy cruising 75mph getting 16mpg
At 65 mph hwy only I saw 21mpg..
Under the same driving conditions on my Tacoma crew 4x4 I was getting 18 mpg.
I am sure once I brake it in, should improve some. And im psych to be driving a hemi and doing almost the same as much smaller v6 Taco !!
Cheers
David

What's the final gears in your Ram?

3.21 or 3.55 or 3.92?

I have a 2013 lone star quad cab with the hemi and 8 speed. It is a 4x4 and has 3.21 diffs, the rear is an LSD. I expect the mileage to improve once the engine gets more miles on it and loosens up a bit, but my first tank averaged 19.2 mpg which was about an even split between city and highway. Keep in mind though I have been driving like an old man and I keep the MPG screen up on my EVIC to help me monitor my MPG real time.

I'm excited to see what I get when I take my first long trip because my dad gets 17-18mpg in the same conditions in his '09 4x2 with the hemi, 5 speed, and 3.21 diff, and we got 22.7mpg when we drove up to Oklahoma city last summer. Since I already get better mileage than he does around town it'll be interesting to see what I get on a road trip.

2013 quad cab 3.92 8speed 5.7 real time consumption since day 1 and 2200 miles 17.5 MPG and is a good mix 60% HWY 40%city

I have a Ram Sport 4x4 Hemi with 8 speed and air suspension, 321 rear end. Ive got 1320 miles on her and I'm averaging 17.5 60/40 city/hwy. I took a 140 mile trip all interstate and averaged 21.2 at 75mph. I also took a short trip aprox 70 miles and got 19.8 at 90mph turning 2,000 rpm. not to bad for a near 400hp 4x4!!!
