New truck. Keep stock for first 5,000 miles
I am getting my 2013 dodge ram express. I pick it up this Friday and I have ordered. Moes performance 87mm throttle body, a mopar cold air intake and flow master 50 series. I was wondering if you guys think I should keep it stock for a while so the engine breaks in or just put the mods on and enjoy

go for it :) , I was on mine the week after i got it...

Oh don't think the computers will mess up or malfunction at all.

the ecm will compensate...unless your stuck on the flowmaster sound, your truck will perform better with a straight thru muffler like magnaflow..

^X2. Fred has proven this on the strip. I'd give it a 1,000 miles for you to get used to it. Then change your oil and start adding your mods. You'll appreciate them more and you will notice the difference. Sell the Mopar CAI on E-Bay or somewhere else. Get yourself a Vararam if you want to get the most from that 87mm tb. Vararam, S&B, Volant and K&N are the forum favorites. Most guys are unhappy with the overpriced Mopar CAI.

I am not happy with the price of the mopar CAI but I have 500 dollars at a dodge dealership to spend on aftermarket parts so I figure I get something expensive. Does anyone have any better ideas on how to spend it.

sure do! get mopar side bars, get some tailgate rails, all sorts of neat stuff!

I bought a Moe's throttle body and installed it within the first week. It went on super easy, but with less than 500 miles on the truck, and me not beating on the truck yet, I couldn't tell you if there was a difference or not. I like the guys post who said to wait, at least on the TB. Do the exhaust right away, as exhaust is always noticeable.

Wait for what??? What you waiting on??? I would put in some royal purple brake in oil and do your thing!!!

I had 150 ET slips on my 10' R/T within the first 10,000 miles. Had Mike(MGH) swap out the original oem plugs at 70,000 miles which looked fine, just little lean on a couple of them. Put 90,000 miles on her in 28 months of ownership using it as my daily for hauling cement bags around. It was still getting 21 mpg the day I sold her. Hemi is a tough motor..., Id say enjoy her with confidence
