Transmission check valve
 
We're can I buy the transmittion check valve and where is it located in the engine compartment also how do I know what trani I have like 46re n stuff like that also will I need more than 1 check valve

I find your post interesting. That check valve, (anti drain back valve) is screwed into the tranny, on one line if I remember correctly. That valve is also the most common reason Ram trannies are considered junk, of this era. when they fail, the tranny gets no cooling and goes up in smoke. I took both of mine out when I first bought them years ago, and both have over 200k on them, with no failures, and I tow 8000Lb trailers (well, used to, I'm getting old and more homeloving these days) . Lose the check valve, the only thing you will ever notice is that when you start the vehicle, after a long-ish period of no use, a delay in motion, which if you place it into neutral for a moment after starting, the system will refill immediately, and then, operation will be normal, and no tranny rebuilds in your future. Just get it to a tranny shop every 3 or 4 years or so for servicing and adjustment.
