Almost all 2 to 3 way speakers that are integrated into one speaker (coax, 3-way) will have their own built-in crossover. I would leave it like it is for best performance. The only time you need to add crossovers is when using separate components.

If you're really looking to get the most out of a 2 or 3-way, you could cross them over just above where their frequency response starts (high-pass) with about a 12db slope. That way you won't be pushing too much in the low freq range to them and they'll run more efficiently. Most higher-end amps have crossovers built-in for this purpose. That, and the head unit may have it as well. If they both have this feature, only use ONE of them, and run the other as a pass-through (no crossover).
