I picked up the APM hood for my '09 and the fitment was great, a few modifications to get it just right, and I'm shimming it 1/8" at the hinge, but other than that I'm very happy with it. Most aftermarket hoods need a little work to be perfect but initial fit should be good, it's just tweaking it.

The suncoast I had on my '07 also required tweaking, shaved a bit here and there to get proper gaps and to stop rubbing, plus it also had to be shimmed, and that was almost 1/4" of washers before I got it where I was happy.

Just go to the dealer and have them order it...between the aggrivation and BS... It's better off sometimes... I hate to say it because for me the LAST resort is the dealer...just writing this my ass hurts!!!! WTF.......

Almost every hood I have installed that wasn't a oem part from a dealer needed tweaking. Even oem hoods aren't perfect when you get into fiberglass although they are better than aftermarket. Anytime you do a test fit if nothing lines up they probably make sht hoods. I have had customers being me these carbon fiber and fiberglass hoods for and camaros and always need a little or a lot of work. Sun coast makes a decent hood that usually fits with some tweaks. There are a few others that make decent hoods but not sure about the rams. Honestly if I was going to swap the hood I would just get one from dodge. It costs more but usually less headaches and if you can't install it yourself a shop will charge a good amount depending on how much work it is. I don't even do body kits or hoods unless I can test fit it myself and give a quote on how much extra it will be cause usually it at least $150 or more to make a hood fit.
