4.7 direct port nitrous

Is there anyone running a direct port system on there 4.7? If I changed my intake to a aluminum one and ran direct port how much of spray per cylinder could u get away with on the new gen engine?? I know I'd have to pull timing and get a Colder plugs, but what about bigger injectors for that set up? Never ran nitrous but I feel this would be the safest route.. Opinions please!

wow direct port is pretty involved. My buddy in Texas just sent me a video tongiht (member darknight) he just installed a nitrous setup on his 4.7L. It's not direct port though, I think it's a 75 shot...might be 100. It's pretty quick from what the video shows...

Yea u talked to him about it a week ago or so.. Glad he got it done can't wait to see what he's running now! Do u have a link to it u can send me he told me he was gonna run a 100 shot.. But I figure direct port u could get a little more of a shot safely right? I heard 20 per cylinder but I don't know if that applys to our motors I'd hate to blow up lol

Yeah I don't think he'll care if I post it.

The 4.7L is a pretty strong engine. It has a 1 piece crankshaft girdle(no main caps). I'd say the bottom end will take just about anything your throw at it. I am not positive but I don't think the 4.7L has the thin top piston ring land issue the hemi has. So I'd say whatever the hemi guys are doing the 4.7L could do the same or more.

A properly set up wet kit will be just fine and give almost the same results. Chefred has been spraying 150 shot Zex wet kit and his engine has over 230K miles.

I don't mind at all Sean lol.. My 4.7 is running strong on a 100 shot. Pulled the plugs and everything looks fine. I'm bumping my shot to a 150 pretty soon.
As for the direct port nitrous, I think you should just do the nozzle system through the CAI tube. But that's just my opinion. I'm loving my set-up

Is yours a wet or dry shot threw the cai? And what brand is it? Also being a 75-100 shot we don't have to change plugs do we? The hemi's can run on the same plugs with that shot I've heard.. I'd just need to run my superchips 87 tune on 93 pump right darknight? He'll I may be way off ha never ran nitrous just going off others peoples word bro

Also how much has your 1/8 and 1/4's changed man was it worth the effort? How's the tranny holding it
