To Supercharge or not to Supercharge?

As the title says, I'm looking to supercharge my Ram but I don't wanna end up having to add more $$$$ than needs to be spent. So IF i ever did do it, what else would I need besides a bigger throttle body? Could i run it on stock tranny or would that need to be built/replaced too? OR should I do a PROcharger or a twin turbo setup? All feedback is welcome! And lets take it to a poll, supercharger, pro charger, or twin turbo?

I have had several Positive Displacemtn blowers on my daily drivers and woulnd't go with anything else from the aftermarket. My last two trucks were Ecoboosts and I loved the turbos but you don't often see good quality kits with the longevity and fitment of aftermarket turbo systems.

In a perfect world, I would do long tubes and full exhaust, cam and a positive displacement blower. But that is a cool $6-$7000 right there if you do the work yourself, and not including tuning.

I haven't owned but driven centri type blowers and they just don't do anything for me. A properly set up turbo system can be the most efficient but will probably cost you a lot more money, but you will be able to put more power to the ground without the supporting mods (crazy fuel system changes, internals to the engine, etc) that a PD type blower would require.

Of course, these are my opinions based on experience, others may vary.

A Pro Charger is a supercharger. Your Poll should be:

Centrifugal Supercharger (gear driven, bolts to front: Vortech, Procharger, etc)

Roots type Blower/Supercharger (sits on top: Magnum, Eaton)

Turbo

...... and I would go with a Procharger as I had one on my 03 Corvette and the performance was fantastic. My RWHP Dyno'd at 304 HP before the install, after it Dyno'd 474 RWHP.

If I ever find any xtra cash - I may look into a Procharger for my 12 Big Horn.

Same here but you would also have to add on the cost of the transmission build. These trannys start failing at around the 430HP mark.

And as you can tell I don't know very much about the subject as it is, but thanks for the input it really helped clear things up on which route I'm gonna take, and also whats your opinion on which is better?
