Aftermarket Fuel Tank

Are there any aftermarket fuel tanks for the 4th gen rams? I was told by the dealer that I have to replace my tank because it spits out when filling. They said new tank will fix but now I'm not sure about replacing it with same one cause of having the same problem

What exactly did they tell you the reason yor fuel spits out when filling is?

Have you had a second opinion?

It spits out because the gas tank Vent Tube has something wrong with it
read up on the problems

No reason was giving, but what I got from the threads is the check valve fails and to fix you have to replace the whole tank...

There have been quite a few of us that have had there fuel tanks replaced due to bad vents. Never had any more problems with that after it was replaced.

Fixed it!

I took off both vent tubes. (the one that goes to the vent and the one that goes to the fuel fill neck) Hooked up the air compressor to the end. (one at a time) After a couple shots I could hear the flap going back and forth. Hooked everything back up.

Went to fill up and NO OVER FLOW!!! YEAH BUDDY!
