Just Lifted My 2007 2wd With New Style CST 4" Spindles

Came out good. I used the stock wheels and tires and they fit perfectly. I ended up buying the new cast style spindle from CST. Even though CST makes awesome products, I just couldn't get around the fact that their standard spindles are basically welded steel plates and they are supposed to be safe.....and also the $900 price. The cast spindles are about 40 pounds each and you can feel the quality. I ended up getting them for $649 and free shipping through Performance Lifts. Unfortunately, I had to buy through their Ebay listing to avoid our crappy California sales tax which would have soured the deal. Also added the CST extended brake lines to the front and 2" lift blocks to the rear. Anyway, I already have Pro Comp wheels ready to go and am buying the Nitto Trail Grapplers next week.

Almost forgot about this thread. Here are the Pro Comp Extreme wheels in a 17x8, 0 backspace and the 295/70/17 Nitto Trail Grapplers.

amazing what a nice set of tires will do to the looks.

Does your back still have a little rake? I think I ma going to be taking out my 2inch coild spacers from the front and go the CST spindle route. But I'm thinking a 1 inch block in the back.

It has a slight rake to it. I used the CST 4" spindles and a 2" block kit in the rear. It would be perfectly level with a 1" block kit. Just remember that I am running the 4.7 motor which is lighter than the Hemi so my front end sits a little higher right from the start so your end result may be different than mine.

Your truck set up looks great!

I've been contemplating on getting the CST 4" spindle lift as well but have been having issues on settling on a wheel and tire combo based on limited selections on offsets and backspacing.

Any issues thus far with the lift? Where did you get yours installed, unless you installed them yourself?

No issues at all. No rubbing or anything. I did the lift myself and it took a few hours. I also wanted to say that I used the new cast iron series spindle from CST. I just have a big issue with having plates of steel welded together and called a SAFE spindle which is why I went for the cast units. Also the cast spindles are a couple hundred less than the fabbed ones. Be aware that the spindles push out the front wheel about 1". Here is a list of the parts:

4" CST cast lift spindle from Performance Lifts...........$640 Bought on Ebay to save California sales tax
17x8 Pro Comp Extreme wheels with 0 backspace......$550 Summit Racing on Ebay
295/70/17 Nitto Trail Grappler tires........Tirebuyer.com at $295 each
2" solid aluminum block kit from Ebay.......$50.00
CST extended brake lines from So Cal Supertrucks.........$130

One other thing is that my wife uses the truck with my kids so it had to fit under a standard parking garage otherwise I would go much higher. It just clears a 6'9" parking structure if that matters to you.
