Another new S&B CAI installed

Well, thanks to Grubrunner and this thread http://ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=116526

I ordered a S&B CAI via Amazon from S&B last week. Received it this afternoon and a mere 2+ hrs later, its in. Needless to say Im no mechanic and I wasn't going to attempt this until I read Grubrunner's thread. The hardets part for me was getting the wheel liner push pins out once the screws were out - I never did get them out but I was able to flex the liner enough to get to the bolts under the frame.

Took it out for a short test run and you can both hear and feel the difference. From a dead stop it does feel a little more responsive and when cruising and jumping on it, you can hear it working.

Here's a few pics:

Love it. Looks amazing. I am very happy with mine as well and Grub helped with my decision.

Thanks for the great pics! Looks like you got the clear cover with the logo in the center as well....S&B must have been listening to Grubrunner!!!

I had mine installed a few days ago and have the same opinion as you. It looks awesome, SOUNDS sweet and "brown" when you step on it a bit and I feel safe having it enclosed like the stock air box. I'm a BIG fan of S&B!!

Congrats and thanks for posting the great pics:Hey:

Thanks - I had it out this morning and you can definitily feel a difference - not Supercharger difference, but there is a noticable difference.

BTW, when I opened the box I was expecting to see a red filter as I have seen in the pictures but was surprised to see it white. I then realized that if you order the wet/oiled filter - the oil probably gives the white filter its red look. I ordered the dry filter. Well, the white does match my truck.

The hardest part for me was getting all the screws back in for the liner. I simply cut some of the fasteners to remove it. I had extras. I had difficulty getting all screws lined up to put it back together. I do have flares, I was cramped in my garage, and I didn't have daylight. (those are my excuses)
