trinity, efan, thermostat settings

just want to thank everyone in advance for their replies and help. below is what I am running currently, but trying to locate a 180 degree t-stat. having a tough time referencing numbers . gates has been the closest to factory LOOKING. everything else looks too short or the diameter is off. any help? have a napa, advance, and bond (gates), parts store; help?
also looking for settings on my trinity. have not hooked it up yet, but would like to know what people with similar mods are running. I have seen efan settings from 185-223? any other cooling settings (thermostat?) I removed the mech. fan, but its starting to warm up so looking for some input on how to dial it in.

1 - want 180 degree thermostat. have all these numbers for different auto parts stores, but all of them are giving me the wrong part.

napa and advance cross referenced autozone #4128, oreilly #4158, and (napa) even used their part # thm-165

gates #33878 (looked most like factory 203)

2 - settings for efan on trinity & are there any other cooling settings that have to be adjusted for the 180 degree t-stat.

currently running:
s&b cai
jba cat back
moes 87mm tb
dorman efan-mech delete

jet 10183 is the 180 that most people use. 30-40 bucks on various websites

4128 from autozone price $15

Just order the Duralast #4128 from Autozone online if you don't have one nearby.

I have ALL efan settings on trinity @ 190*.

the bottom stem can be lengthened or shortened...I noticed that when i did my last tstat swap (duralast 4128)...i just tapped it on a flat surface to get the same height as previous one...

any other settings i should know about?

cross referencing is not working. I ended up buying a jet. yes, a jet. gulp. 35 clams... least I will feel like I bought the best, lol.

thanks again guys.

ram em - I shouldn't set them any higher? just thought I saw people setting them around 205-210 and even 223 (stock?).

chefred - shortened? interesting. thanks for future info and tip.

All I did was subtract 23 -24 degrees from each of the fan settings in my predator and have had no problems at all, this is on my 6.1L Super Bee. I run the stock thermostat on the RAM as I only drive in late Fall and Winter.

With the 180 tstat and fan set @ 190 I maintain temps between 179-188 in any conditions in Florida. The 190 setting was recommended by my tuner. It works perfectly, and it only comes on occasionally or when AC is on. You could set it higher, but your temps might vary to a greater degree, and run hotter a low speeds/in traffic.
I just re-read you op. Without a mech fan you definitely want to set the efan @ 190. You don't want the temps to rise into the 200s, and then depend on the efan to get it back down by itself.

Ram EM well said I should have the Jet 180 in the doorway when I get home tomorrow, I was told the same deal from Sean set the fans at 190
