Tow Haul with a Tuner

So what actually happens if I'm running, say a Trinity and canned 93 octane tune. And then push the tow haul button? Does it revert back to a stock tune with the stock tow haul changes of shift points, etc? Or does the tow haul modify the already modified shift points of the 93 octane tune?

T/H is a separate function from tuning. It operates the same as it would when using the stock tune. Your shift points will be higher and the 6th gear will be locked out. The 3rd gear will also be used during up shifts.

Note you can't tow a lot of weight with the performance tunes due to the advanced ignition timing.

I run a dyno tune for 93 octane. Mustang Dyno, my guy tweaks my tune a/f ratio and adjust timing to eliminate knock retard under load. A good dyno tuner can optimize your tune to tow with 93 and get no knock.

The OP is using a canned 93 octane performance tune.

Just to follow up. I bought a White Lightning tune and Dave set one tune up for towing. I'll be testing it in the next week or two. But the performance tunes are awesome. Dave explained a lot about the tunes, the tow/haul mode, etc. So right now just waiting to get that box hooked up.
