Alignment after level

Is a wheel alignment needed after a leveling kit? Almost had a level installed but guy said it needed to be aligned and I couldn't wait. So I didn't get the kit. So is it needed?

yes, get an alignment after you level. Unless you WANT to prematurely burn through tires

+1.

You will need an alignment. After my level, when I took it in for alignment it was out a fair bit

No way brah...it's not like it affects handling or tire and suspension wear :3-smoke:

Ok. How does $440 sound for everything. Leveling kit, install and alignment?

gonefishin776 04-18-2013 02:25 PM

what kit are you going with?

a shop should be able to do the install in about 2 hours max. alignments are upwards of 80-100$ depending on how much the shop wants to rape you.

I'd do it yourself then take it in for an alignment. it's really easy

I did my level last weekend with a buddy, took about an hour and half. I have not done an alignment yet but you can tell it needs one.

I believe it was a 2.5" Ready Lift.

I paid $400 (canadian) for the 2" ready lift, installed, then $100 for alignment. And I got a bit of a deal on installation as well
