Looking for a look

I have a 2012 Ram 1500 Sport and I want to get some tires with agressive side wall tread on a 20" rim. What size leveling kit or lift would I need to fit those with no rubbing? Has anyone done anything like this???

You can do a 2.5 inch leveling kit with a nice set of 33 inch mts. Great setup in my opinion that's what I am running on my 07 ram.

First.....what size of tire did you want to run as you can run MT tires similar to stock size rubber.
If 34"- 35" you will need a level kit at minimum

I like how my truck turned out. It's a 2.5 Front and 1.75 Rear Rough Country spacer kit and 35x12.5x17 Toyo MT's with XD Cranks... I like more tire then rim but you get the idea.

Lot's of owners have done this. Are you talking aftermarket 20" rims or the OEM 20" rims? Do you want to try to go to a taller or wider tire or do you just want to stick with something relatively close to stock but in an aggressive tread? There are several nice tires with aggressive sidewalls. The Nitto Trail Grappler and the Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac are probably two of the most popular. Give us a little more info and we can narrow things down for you.

First off, thanks for all the posts. Its great to talk to ppl with similar rigs and get advise. I would like to get the Nitto trail grapplers but they don't seem to make them in a 33" for a 20" rim. So I'm still looking for the tire I want. Also I have been looking at leveling kits. they all seem to come with a 1.75" rear lift as well. I'm not sure why. My concern with the level kit is the increased angle the control arm will sit at. Will it cause increased wear on anything?

I went with HBS 2.5" leveling kit and i didn't touch the rear. My rear still sits 0.75" higher but it's not noticeable. Great price and great product
